Yeah I know but what was the reason ? I can't seem to find anything online just that they stopped. I ask this because they produced some awesome stuff !!

I got to talk to Jeff Soto at NYCC last year and I asked him about his toy that was supposed to come out from Critterbox, The Walker.
here's and excerpt from something Jeff wrote on the KR boards a while ago -
"I don't know but I think Conor IS Critterbox. He is the brains and brawn behind the business and is super f-ing busy. He probably has no less than 2 million things going on in his mind at any one time and I think people have to give him a break. You have to also take into consideration that he's an artist first and a businessman second. He's eccentric. He has ideas and is super creative. "
basically, the way I understand it, Critterbox owner and manager (who I have nothing but respect for) is a perfectionist artist, and not much of a businessman and the company went belly up - just ran out of money.
But man, he made some great toys while he was at it! -

just because Medicom did the a toy of the Disney statue it explains the Kaws one?
-
-

Makes sense to me, KAWS seems to be making toys using all the same licenses that Medicom have brought, since they produce his toys, cop-out?

I'm still not a fan of Partners, I just mean this toy explains the white base, the dimensions, and the overall look of the KAWS version. Now I'm thinking if you displayed the two pieces together it wouldn't be half bad. One thing's for sure, demand for this particular toy is going up right about now.

Not a fan of much he has released recently. I just wish he would take some of his old classics and reissue in a new colour way, that would be sweet.

I got this off ebay without the box,
looks great and all of the joints are tight, except the feet ones... unless I stand it up entirely straight they give way... -
-
Have you tried removing the feet and using a thin coat of clear nail varnish in the ball joint? Works well with other threea figures with loose joints

It's refers to a statue of Walt Disney and Mickey, called "Partners", placed in Disneyland!
Not a wonderful toy, but a cool artistic move, in my opinion. Quite pretentious! -

This is for KAWS fans only. You have to understand KAWS history to get it, so it's just a niche item. This, on the other hand:
http://rotocasted.com/toy/4674/
is transcendent. This will resonate with just about anyone. Brian's problem is that he designed the perfect toy with his first shot. -

while I do think this is tounge-in-cheek, I agree this is a very pretentious move from Kaws.
I kind of think of him as a businessman more then an artist in a way, and I don't like it. -

im a big kaws fan (check my collection) but ive skipped snoopy , tweety and now this . just going to get older pieces for now and hopefully he saves the brand in the future as he is de-valuing my collection and his name he built with these half arsed releases

PBM only had like 50 or 60, they only supply 5 stores with this stock kinda of monopolizing the designer toy game. But hell, it's nice for them they got stuff other shops can't have.
But enough other cool stuff around i'm not getting myself worked up about this anymore :)
