I've been won over by Rose Vampire. My favorite tough is still the original.
My taste in toys has really changed since I started collecting toys! I've been won over by a lot of Japanese stuff, a simpler designs, like Devilrobots. -

@SillyK Thanks!!! D-LuX killed this piece...it really stands out in my collection that's for sure. He's done a few different rainbow styles but I think this is one of the few with 6 colors instead of 5.
@lordsketch It's amazing how much my taste in toys has evolved these past few years. I like figures now I never thought I would have just a short time ago. But that's what makes this hobby so fun. -

This TB has such a deep colourway, totally burlesque! And I love the hat way more than the bowler on the previous TB. Not too fond of those wings though.

not sure how bad it is, but in case you didn't know the legs rotate. One of my squadts was wobbly, and I just moved the legs and problem solved

i think, my chances to get one yesterday were higher than today! it is weekend now and more people are at home + due the glitch, a lot of other people, who forgot about this are now alerted...

@ TOY: don't break your promise! i know, the skelves are very tempting, but for your relationships sake, either talk to your man about it first and get his permission or leave it, if he is not ok with it.
for some reason i managed to have all my last purchases unnoticed from my man and blended them in in the back of my shelf ;) otherwise i would be in big trouble now, too -

i was just wondering, why this very limited piece is still available. i guess, most people went for the "test/custom" toys and then put only one item in their baskets.

Has anyone anywhere ever had a discussion about the obvious (to me) homoerotic element of Coarse toys? Has Mark ever spoken about it in interviews? I brought this up on the 3A boards once and everyone basically told me I was nuts. Maybe most Coarse collectors just don't want to consider it?

Maybe that's because Coarse is working in the style of the 1930-50's german, soviet and american propaganda and that era is a cliche for homoerotic imagery in the modern culture? :)

I would say that perhaps there are homoerotic elements, but it seems to me it springs more from Coarse's dealing with masculinity then with homo-eroticism per se.
but after you said that I did realize there are no female characters in the Coarse roster. -

It's not just the lack of female characters though. We could name dozens and dozens of toy companies that don't do female characters, but that doesn't mean their toys have any homoerotic element. Coarse "explores masculinity" in the same way that an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog explores masculinity, only with more penises and spooge (see Sprouting Noop).
I bring it up only because I'm kind of surprised that Mark Landwher has never talked about it in interviews considering how up front it is in the artwork itself. It seems like whenever he's asked about the themes in his work he always says that his art is about "life and death." Not that I expect him to say that it's about "ripped dudes in pink and teal," but still. -
