Sometimes a toy comes along that immediately resonates with you, and you know you have to have it no matter what. This toy is the opposite of that.

in this toy's defense, it's a pretty good interpretation of the art it's based on.

I actually did pick one up. I replaced his head with a Dunny head and made him a smart little blue suit. Now he's a dandy. Not so Andre the Giant + Gremlins anymore.

This one feels like plastic not vinyl..
-
Implying vinyl isn't plastic...
It would be the paint giving you the "plastic" texture imo Feel the white areas and you should feel a variation is surface finish. -
13 years ago
it is hard plastic rather than soft vinyl, imagine the transparent Dunnys of the past. I suspect that they are producing much more of the Swatch Dunnys so they used a different manufacturing?
-
I have seen a few art toys come out in ABS as of late. Are they making the dunny out of ABS now too?

probably not regular production Dunnys
-
-

Hard plastic doesn't sound good..
-
Is it the same plastic like the other one I was querying about: http://rotocasted.com/toy/15738/
-
Hard PVC plastic used for the Gumball and other transparent dunnys before. If it is nicely made I don't mind what material it is, though of course I would love for them to be all metal and lasts for years :P

Silly - I kind of like Blanka. But I wish they would sculpt bodies as well as the head... this type of body has been done to death
-
-
@lord: i did not want to hurt your toy "taste" feelings or offend them. i am just a bit upset lately with KR and their recent market strategy and find it harder and harder to like any of their new toys. and yes...the same body type over and over again and the cheap looking paint job on is one of those things.

Just for fun trivia... there was a department store in Japan that was selling fundoshi in Japan but wanted to attract a younger audience so they sold them under the name "classic pants". Hahahah!

I am! Restore's got a competition on for these blanks (running until Sept 30th) on his site, which I hopefully will be entering. Already made a little start to him. According to the rules I can't post any pics of what's under his fundoshi, or what his eyes look like.
His eyes are great and creepy looking and under his little cloth... it leaves NOTHING to the imagination! -

On the ThreeA website its written "Bambaboss", so I guess its correct as it now is :)
-

hmmm, 3A need to make up their minds! it is currently Bambaboss, it seems in some of the promo pics they list it as Bamba Boss but it's true, on their site & forum it's Bambaboss
-
I know Jan that in the pic it says Bamba boss, but it seems that everywhere else its Bambaboss :)
Not a big deal, but easier to leave it now be than to change everyones listing to Bamba boss :D -

Should we have two listings for this, one with the heart and one without? Or are you allowed to say you have this one, even if it's incomplete?
-
-
Yeah, making two listings is a good idea, because a lot of people won't have the Dunny including the heart but still want to add the Dunny without the heart to their collection.
-
I like the second listing idea for sure. I have only bought a few dunny's so I don't have much of this lil guy but I am hoping to get some more pieces soon.
-
good plan on the second listing
-
I disagree with the second listing. I'm sure a lot of people will want to add it to their collection, but the fact remains that if it's not complete, you don't "have it" yet. Work at it, get that final piece, and then feel that much more satisfied when you click the "have" button.
Maybe it's just me, but I have to draw the line at incomplete figures. If you do the second listing, then by the same line of reason, you have to do one listing for each possible combination of pieces a person could have. Ridiculous? Yes. But it makes a strong point about having standards. -
13 years ago
I think you should add individual listings for each part, so you can show your progress without pretending you're done.
-
I had no idea this was a contest. What do we get when we win?
-

I agree with MrPaul. one toy, one listing
