Should the name of the series be something like "Be@rbrick J.League Gatorade 525"?
I'm not at all sure, but the series is based on Gatorade 525 sponsoring the J.League (Japanese national football league). So that name could perhaps be fitting.
Anyone just correct me if I'm wrong in anyway :) -

I was the one who added them, J. Actually the name of the series should be 'Be@rbrick Gatorade 70%', but the Rotocasted system don't accept the % sign in the tags, therefore I had to leave it out :)

So here it is - my fake Kaws bought before I knew anything about Kaws or designer toys in general.
The head is obviously a quite nicely sculpted Chum one and the bottom is from the Snorty And Friends series by Steven Lee.
I'm thinking I might repaint this in some nice way in the future. -

Really want one of these, I was offered one ages ago but passed on it and regret it now!

-

I still remember the "clock" conversation and all that, but aren't there a few other keychains around here?
These were also a very limited release by Squink, so therefore I thought I might add these here. But if this fires up some objection, then by all means you admins can delete them :) -

Yeah, it's not a toy. :P

much as im itching to delete them (purely cos i <3 deleting stuff) i think they have as much place here as the yummy donuts etc that elissa loves so much and i know would be outraged if i went on a removal rampage

Three blindboxes arrived from the US today: The Golden Claw, Ornery Panda and Limon Geisha!
Can't be disappointed as I would have wanted to get even another one of the first two and even one of the geishas. -

Personally, I love this series, picked mine up on Tuesday! Golden Claw is my favorite for sure, though Hicks is a close second. Here are some pics if you'd like to check out the finished ones:

I was just wondering the same thing!
I ended up using it with this guy, so he can have 2 :)

Anyone in Europe has any doubles from the series? :)
I was on a holiday trip when they got released and now I can't even find blindboxed ones on sale on the web.. for a reasonable price. -
13 years ago
Anyone?
Would like to get two blindboxes or two doubles :) -
13 years ago
Seems that the blindboxes and cases were pretty much sold out everywhere within a few days and in Europe the whole release seems to be a total mess..
Tried one lucky shot today and managed to buy three blind boxes today :)

Hurray for that!
If the shipping costs would be lower, I would have ordered from you Minty :) Just happened to get a great deal from a collector -

If Mintyfresh would be in North America... I would've sold triple the amount of toys I did so far...
Shipping from USA to Europe is priced exactly the same as my packages to USA, the shipping was one reason I started Mintyfresh in the 1st place, I wanted to get my own toys without that expensive US shipping and offer it to my fellow European friends :) -

Exactly what I thought.
The Dutch postal service can't be that bad?

Medicom is so awesome. Using mid-century modern time and time again. Love this. Kaivo pattern is great, have not seen the unikko pattern for sale.
I need this! -
Where did you find yours fairlybleak? And for how much did you get it? :)
Haven't seen these for sale anywhere.
And actually I have two of these: one on display, one sealed in its bag in a opened box. -
13 years ago
^^ KR forum sales thread. $45 shipped?
-
Weird that this still is so rare here. But there surely isn't any of these on sale anywhere: have checked from time to time.
I think I really want the Unikko one as well someday. They surely would make a great pair :) The back of this one is really nice as the pattern goes also there all the way from the top to bottom.
Also gotta support Finnish design as a Finn ;) -

If you take a closer look on that eBay link you'll see how many scuffs it has on one of the legs, and still it went for 43 bucks. This must indeed be very rare. Damn!
-
-

Nice spot Jan!
Seems like they might be some glue-marks or something like that..
Funny that one of my earliest pieces seems to be this rare :D
I should add these here someday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/... />
The other one has some glue residue, or something, on its leg. It was like that straight from the capsule. Should try to clean it someday.

Bam! Just found this in a store while visiting Helsinki. The paint-style is very cool
-
dang, u have stores there, no fair!!
-
I think only two SMALL stores in Helsinki sell a really limited selection of designer toys :D So this was definitely a good find especially here.
And they even had a un-opened package of this one in storage. So not bad at all! -
13 years ago
You don't have any stores selling any designer toys there where you live? :)
-
nothing at all, the internet is my only toy hook up here.
-
Damn..
The same to me really, but I really rarely visit Helsinki and this year I found out that few shops sell some Qees etc. :) From one shop I bought a few J-League Be@rbricks from a capsule machine a few years ago, when I didn't know practically anything about designer toys yet, but that shop is out of business already.
It seems that we have to start our own businesses mate ;) -

Same thing here in Copenhagen. Sucks! :(
I'd really like an European kaiju online store (it's getting tiresome with the customs!!)
The only one I know is V-KINGS, but Peer doesn't have a large selection.
I sometimes consider starting my own. *sigh* -
-
But hey, its nice to know that we few Nordic folks are on the same boat with this hard-to-buy stuff! :)
It would be cool to someday know if there's even any other Finnish designer toy collectors, but we'll see. -
13 years ago
How you guys bumped in to the whole designer toys scene?
-

im irish but i have lived in both london & new york, started collecting maybe 7 years ago now.
