Hi guys, I have one of these and I'm thinking about selling it. What is a fair price for it? I have never seen one on eBay, in fact I have not seen one for sale for a long time anywhere?
-
I think about $120-$130 is a fair price for this Observer... But then again, it's one of the oldest and the rarest Observers, so maybe it could be sold for much higher price.
-
thanks vadimt, i see you have one. if you were to sell yours, is that the price you would sell it for?
-
Yeah, I wouldn't have sell it for less. Though I'm not sure you could sell it easily. Seems to me, these days people are willing to pay outrageous prices for dunnys, but not for rare, quality toys...
-
i agree, some dunnys are for sale at silly prices. i wonder if they actually sell? personally I'm not a big dunny fan. i only have one, George Caspers skull dunny. Which i think is a great piece......
I'm not sure if i can sell it for $130, it's the flag ship observer. -

Remember that there are 2 editions of the Black Observer : the regular Strangeco (102 produced) and the SDCC exclusive edition (48 produced). I agree with the price recommended by everyone above for the regular edition, ie no less than $100 for sure. The SDCC edition would probably command higher price.
-
Does anyone have a picture of the SDCC exclusive? I've never seen it. My bro-in-law gave me the reg. black edition for Christmas after I'd spent years admiring it on his shelf.
-
Thanks for the advice guys. Just one more thing before I decide on the price. The one I have has been signed on the box. Were they all signed?
-
Nope. Mine's not signed. Now you'll be able to sell yours for much more.
-
O.k, it's for sale for a fair price. I also have a Ron English OG supersize and gold cow girl for sale.
-
Guys, the SDCC edition is part dark blue, part black.

$125 is WAY over its real cost!
It's possible to get it on eBay for about $40-$50.

FYI, a couple green 2005 Observers are about to go up on Neon Monster's site for $55 each. We found them last week in STRANGEco's warehouse. Check here in about an hour: http://neonmonster.com/NeonMo... (I think there are only 2 in green)

Woot! Got one today! And it was actually free! As usual it's really well produced.
The colour scheme is cool as it shows off the intricate patterns more effectively than the red version I already have. :) -

It was kindly included with an Ebay purchase, and even with the £33 customs charge it was still a bargain.

-

One time I seen a set on the KR forum with the fatcap and the og red 3"TT for 150 ...but I did not have the money at the time.
-
This dunny is one the best dunny designs (in my opinion).
-

-

-
Hell yes, finally adding the 3inch and 8inch to my collection.
-
Have I already told that it's probably one of the best dunny designs?... LOL ;)
@vinylgoddess - Congrats on the new addition to your collection? Do you have 3 Teddy Troops set (basic, shaved and shark)?
They look awesome when displayed all together - Fortress' dunnys and these Troops! -
14 years ago
Totally agree!
-
@Vadim I don't! Will have to look into it. Thanks!!
-

I love the colours/design of this one, wish it had also been a 3inch.
-
@jenX, colors are a bit oversaturated in this photo; the real dunny has more subtle colors. A 3" version actually exists, (though in black, as opposed to this one) - http://rotocasted.com/toy/502/. The 3" was the original - the 8" was released later.
-
Actually I have this Dunny and the colors on mine are pretty vibrant...definitely not subtle
-
I'm not saying the colors aren't vibrant, but on this photo they're oversaturated. The following photo - http://www.flickr.com/photos/... represents truer picture.
-
I have the 3" black one. Would like this one because of the colouring and the size. Thanks Vadim for the comparison colouring photo link.

my third cat is finally here
luckily, my dog (a real, non-vinyl one) did not attack them :-) probably fooled by their dog's resemblance
thank you, vadimt, for being an inspiration to me with your beautiful collection! -
14 years ago
Congrats on the new addition to your Glamour Booted Cats collection!
And you're absolutely right about the dog resemblance – most people who see this figure in my collection think it's a dog, not a cat :) -
14 years ago
probably because he/she does not have any whiskers, so looks more like a dog?!

My sad furry is looking for a new home. So if anyone from Europe wants to close a good deal, just mail me – I live in Germany. Of course international bidders are welcome, too.
