These are nice :)
Although I myself wouldn't want a piece offered first in a wedding, by giving them out to the wedding guests, to be commercialized and made publicly available.
It makes the original ones feel a tad less meaningful in my opinion. -

I don't know... first of all, the wedding had it's unique colorway :)
second, I'm sure when Kidrobot first took on this production for Kronk they've discussed making this publicly available, so I assume it's been his plan all along -
-
Yup, true at that.
I'm just thinking from the point-of-view of those guests and overall if it had been my wedding :)
And I might want two of these in the future ;) -

would anyone mind if we add "8 inch dunny" as series to make them searchable as a group?

If you want to weed out the customs, use this:
http://rotocasted.com/library/platform_Dunny/size_8/type_designer%20toy/
Hmm, but you'll have to fix the end of it, put a space where the %20 is. -

It's easier just to type it in the URL than use the search box.

pretty, but I wish there was more contrast between the head and bows.

I can agree with that. I think the problem is that the white has no texture to it.

let's get back to the main question, people! who's getting one for me? :-D

This is released on my bday, and I already planned to be in SoHo to pick up some tea at H&S. Perfect timing! Also this is the first 3" design I've liked in a while, so crisp and elegant.
-

Really liking this one - but agree w/ snowtree too. It would be nice to have more contrast on the bows. Why do those darn retail stores have to be nowhere near me?
-

I'm "curating" my own collection of custom, resin deer heads and this is the first to be completed, by the incomparable Amanda Visell. Excited to share the rest as they're completed!

thanks so much for the kind comments! 2 other artists that i can share are Brandt Peters and Miss Mindy - the others i can't share as the works aren't far enough along and i've been asked to keep under wraps a bit longer :)
the first wave is 5 heads; the second wave will be another 5 heads - the 'Deerly Departed' Project is going to be running for a while :) -

Ha masao, that is kinda funny for me! my friend works in the Zgallery in naples FL and told me about those awesome giraffe heads (my fav. animals), but that specific one was too expensive for me.
i can't wait to see your whole deer head collection, when it is complete and mounted on the wall!!!!!! -

great project!
I was just about to order a deer head from Zgallerie but... they won't ship to europe :( I wonder if someone based in US could help me with that?

aMAzing toys!
I read that Nakagawa only sells his toys if you get to see them in person, so good luck getting one... :P
congrats on a killer piece, dudugee! -

Thanks lordsketch, It took 3 years for me to get his original artwork!! :-)
This is a totally amazing piece!! -

Holy smokes. That is awesome! Were you in Nagoya for the show? I was under the impression that he made two of each design but he always keeps one. I could be completely wrong on that though...
-

My Japanese buddy went to the show a few years ago for me :-)
Yes, he makes 2 for his handmade ones and keeps one for himself and sells the other one in his gallery.. -

Perfect. I love Map's stuff because he knows when to quit, keeps it simple. The extra notch in the ear is a nice touch.

There was 2 releases of the 8" version, the orginal custom vinyl and then a series (I think of 8) of resins.
