I like this, was sad to read that Sucklord will stop doing suckpegs, this will fill the empty suckpeg shaped hole in my soul!
-
No more suckpegs? Say it ain't so Q...why's he discontinuing them?
-
it was in the last sucktalk with jeremy, basically theres not enough interest in them
-
I don't know how to ask this, and maybe I'm showing my ignorance so if I am please forgive me. But is Sucklord actually gay?
-
I've just learned not to make assumptions on face value!!! =|
-

I don't believe so, his girlfriend did some stuff for the occupy cybertron show @ EOC
Also this piece isn't made by the Sucklord -

hey Sergey, I am still dreaming about Pillowpina (I have no idea why I didn't order it when available, probably lack of funds).
any chance you still have one in your secret private warehouse? (wishful thinking) -

Vera, I still have one with her eyes closed. Might get it for you if you want.
-
-
thank you for the fast answer :)
uf, decisions, decisions... I love this one, and about the one with the closed eyes I am worried I won't be able to see the eyes from a distance (from the photo it looks like an eyeless head, only when you are close you can notice the lids)
well, if this one will never be available again, please bring the 2 seconds one at Toycon, if there is not to much trouble.
if I remember well, it comes inside a real pillow, with a nice pattern, is that right? -

I am not painting closed eyelids to make them pop, so they remain pretty much invisible. As I will not be re-releasing Pillowpina any time soon, I could take this one to the Con and you will decide.
Sorry, no pillows left. Initial run of 30 pieces are all sold out. -

ok, please do. thank you, see you soon :)

No way, Q, smoking makes you look cool ;) *lights up another*
-
-

Same for me Q.
I don't dig smoking and the whole cigarette thing with the smorkers is getting more and more boring.
And a snowman smoking? Isn't that what also should lead to the melting, and not just the chase versions reason "CCC (Climate Change Conspiracy)" ;) -

I'm kinda meh, I'll probably pick it up though.

I used to really look forward to the Holiday Dunny release each year, but over the past 2-3 years I've cared less and less.
I was wondering when we'd see KR use the decapitated Dunny head again. No way they could only use it once for the Luke Chueh 8". But, won't the chase be pretty easy to cherry pick out of a blind box? -

It truly is.
The "design" of the whole thing is really poor. I really don't understand how something like this can get released. -
13 years ago
What makes these two releases even worse is the fact that Kidrobot and Staple Design are releasing a capsule collection around these pieces..

This figure is all kinds of awesome! Someone help MQ out. I wonder if it comes carded like most of his other action figures. The stand makes me think maybe not.
-

im guessing it comes bagged considerimg the base, or even cheaper, out of his pocket & into ure hands, no pack at all!!!

Did you see the video I posted on your fb wall @misterquiche? Also did you spot there is one on ebay?
-
How much are you willing to pay for it?
http://vimeo.com/30563232
(I don't have one, just referring to the video) -
13 years ago
he put one on the bay, ha!!! yeah watched the vid, no computer at the mo so only on phone! i think its worth tops $150, thats what i suggested on spanky stokes
-
the one on the bay kinda makes me sad, wish it didnt go there so frickin quick when there are collectors who actually want stuff
-
Yeah I think $150-$160 would be my top end offer for one of these. Sounds like there is gonna be plenty more though.
-
I would get a gay empire for $40 but beyond that I wouldn't pay $150 for something that is a bit of fun. I don't take his work seriously enough to pay more than $40
-

Sucklord is a huge inspiration to me, adding humor to a resin toy via the package was an eye opener for me. I totally copy this guy. Wish the Suckator had obnoxious packaging to add even more sophomoric humor to the casting. The toys don't mean as much to me without the packaging.
-
I'd agree with you if we were talking about the bootlegs... If I'm not mistaken these were actual custom figures, and there looks to be a good bit more work put into them. I think the fact that people were willing to shell out $150 - $300 a piece for unpackaged figures is just as funny as the packaged bootlegs. Plus, the little performance he put on at the "auction" there adds to the whole thing.
Jay, I personally think your work is just as valid and amazing as the Sucklord's. I'm particularly fascinated with pieces like the Podling and Slithgarn, and I believe your "bootleg" style figures are a good bit more refined than the Sucklord's ( because he's admittedly going for a "sucky" look).

I wouldn't usually upload an action figure but I was excited about this one :)
I used to LOVE Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid and I had lots of the action figures.
Recently I discovered in 95 they had a series of the Turtles interpreted by artist Jim Lee! obviously I had to jump on eBay and get one :P
fortunately it's very nice.
strangely, only three of four of the turtles were produced even though all four were planned - for some reason the Leonardo figure never made it to production.

Hey... it's a toy, man! Toys are FUN! I remember these-- nice sculpts-- VERY 90's-- in a good way!!!
Did you ever see the Super Mutant Turtles done like anime characters? Those were pretty cool looking... especially the Shredder from that series.
Here's a great site that has almost all of the TMNT figures from 1988-2009: http://www.tmnttoys.com/
