Don't you just love them! I am crazy for insane kaiju :P I have more but I cant find good enough images/still need to setup my photo booth. Great vinyl releases by bandai and at only 800 yen how can you go wrong!
I think its more of a market strategy. I believe they know children are not the only consumers and invest in a higher quality toy production for the Japanese release. As even bandai release "lower quality" toys in America.

Bandai is great because they make cheap, quality toys, something american companies haven't really learned...
