try to pop them open! put if between your thumb and index finger and press. it should work. that's how i did it with all my bubblegum / toy machine capsules as a kid. ;) i even sometimes buy some for fun at toy's r us. we can never get toooo old for this ^_^
otherwise i have no other idea since you tried the other 2 options already.
