This comes from what is possibly the best TV show Japan has ever produced. Google "The World of Golden Eggs" and let the goodness wash over you. It was originally produced with English subtitles and has a fair amount of busted up English in it for some odd reason. The design is because the makers had very little experience in 3D CG and were making it at home. Kinda like the very first South Park pilot.

I doubt that I have ever seen a toy look more stupid than this one. And look at those purple balls hanging from under the neck! Far out!
