It is out in Japan. It was actually a collaboration by designers Konatsu (こなつ) and Kaijin (of Fulcraim and Musyubel fame). They are available at FewMany in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan

Has anybody got some experience with buying directly from Fewmany ? I tried by sending them an email as you would do with Oneup but no responds so far.
-

They used to sell to me when I emailed, but that was years ago. Now I have to use a proxy with them to get anywhere.
-

Thanks for the info Auryn, it's a pity, they got some nice stuff I would like to have. You know some other Japanese sites where I can buy goodies ?

special charitable edition (silver and gold) available at secret base for only 5000 yen each plus shipping
-

I put a link to the sales page under where to buy. Price includes shipping! Regular releases cost more than this before shipping so hop on it folks and earn some good karma.

This looks SO good!
The back is great as well: http://farm6.static.flickr.co... />

So tempted by this..
I wonder what reads on the abdomen on this and the gold one? They're have different writing nevertheless.
Linx, Elissa? :P -
silver one reads Sendai
Gold reads Fukushima
not my decoding, got it from the web -
Thanks for the info brobles! :)
I didn't find it on any site I searched for some reason. -
14 years ago
So glad I ordered both. I have family in Fukushima so it is rad to have a RI with that tattooed on his belly! They are still taking orders as of today (April 14th in North America) so get on it folks!
-
I wonder what is the "deadline" for the whole deal?
-
SB never posts a deadline nor how many are being made. However it seems that in this case the invoice number you get is a rough idea as to how many have been ordered so far. I have numbers 175 and 176 at the moment.

Gonna be tough getting one of these. They were produced in really limited numbers (20-50 I think) and only available at Design Fest 2008 in Tokyo. The paint is done by Itokin Park's friend Shef who does the most amazing job. They are painted on the interior of the toy rather than the exterior.

There have been a couple of other rainbow colour Luchas but they were done by kaiju artist Cronic and frankly I think they were an even smaller number and the colours weren't as well blended. Shef's rainbow graduation is something to behold!
Here's an example of the Cronic rainbow...

oh toy, you are the sweetest!!!
i just tried the check out again with the help of my online translator, but they don't let me through the system, because my zip code is not in japan, they don't recognize it and my us phone number not either...i am f***ed with ordering online.
now i have a little hope, that the workers of the online store answer my mail soon and help me out.
Toy, it late over there, where you are. get some sleep!!!!! :-* -
14 years ago
so, i talked to my brother. he could not help me much either and translated me the things, i already figured out on my own.
1 is in stock, there is no sign of shipping to the usa and the check out is only for people located in japan.
YARNDARM , if you read this, could you help me with finding the english version of that webpage, so i can check, if that one ships international? -

You're not alone, MC. This IS better than a soap. That night Sil was trying to get the Lucha Bear into her basket, I was biting my nails...and admitting...laughing at the same time. (Sitcom?)
But I was laughing with her, not at her!
Oh, I just looove happy endings. :) -

They are generally available through Oneup in Tokyo. You can send an email to the owner (Ken) in very simple English and he will get you sorted. A super nice guy. Just don't send emails using hotmail. For some reason his provider tends to loose them. He's been trying to get that fixed for ages but it still happens occasionally.
Oh yeah, Juki is a he.
