I feel so sorry for poor old Sil. She bought this Mongo from Artoyz, but 3 days later she gets an email saying: We are sorry but the toy is sold out.
On the good side, Roto is back and I quitted smoking cigarettes today. 18 hours so far. -

I’ve finally got me one o’these!
It really doesn’t disappoint, its clean and well made, understated and a real art piece. I love the squatness of him (her?). Part of me wants Monroe to make another toy; another part feels it’s nice to have, in effect, a one off. I’ve also just bought the small format “Sour Leaves” book/comic, a perfect companion to the toy!
Oh, and all thanks to a Rotocasted deal! :) -

I like the fact some artists are not in this just for the money or the long haul as a dedicated medium, and only do a few figures or so and that's it. Makes their creations more special I'd think...

I remember reading somewhere there were some QC issues with the final production figures. But I'm really not sure about it...
Perhaps Andrew himself could tell us why The Giver of Fire wasn't released.

For those asking, yes it was a QC issue. Upon delivery we discovered the flames on the front were poorly done (unlike our approved sample) so I canceled the release. I actually still have a few boxes of them that I kept for a possible hand-finish customized release! Many blues were sacrificed to become the DIY edition.
