Hey DunnyNinja, just a little reminder, you pay no 21% VAT on our orders, so this functions as a discount :D
-
-
hey minty, i dont understand what you mean by 21% discount, ive almost bought stuff from your store and have never seen a 'hey im in the US so i get a 21% discount' option. we dont pay customs anything for toys that come around the world, or atleast i never have... so are you saying that other people in other countries have to pay 21%? god damn im confused. please explain. thanks!

Haha no problem, since we're from the Netherlands all countries within the European Union (UK, France etc.) are being charged the price in the shop so also the 21% VAT, All NON-EU customers don't, instead the VAT is shifted.
Let's say you want the Mecha Azteca, it's € 99,95,- (this is including 21% VAT = €17,35) you as American will not be charged the 21% VAT so this kinda works as a discount on your order. Then when the package arrives in the US and the Customs check the form and see we written as a gift and a price down for let's say €25 they tend to leave it and won't charge you additional VAT. In some cases they do (higher amounts) and will then charge you your Local VAT for the price we write on the package...
Hopefully it's a bit more clear now, either way, the VAT will be removed in the end of the order, not in the Cart. -
-
Ok. So I'm confused... Can you tell me how much after the discount and stuff, it would cost to get one shipped to Salt Lake City, Utah, United States?
-
-

-

After the VAT is removed and Shipping is Included (€19,95) you be paying total €102,55 ( which is about 130 USD
For future orders, simply place an order and it will be calculated for you :) -
-
alright, im either not understanding what you mean by this is or its not working for me. please see the link, after i add something to my cart and say im shipping to the us, the 21% tax is still there..
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d114/jumpman2334/asdasd.jpg
please let me know whats up, i plan to buy stuff from you in the future, just not at a 21% higher price though. thanks! -
12 years ago
Ya I don't see it working either. I would really, really consider buying this if I could really get it for $130....
-
And sorry minty, I know you are really trying to help, but we are just confused with what the website is doing...
-
Hey Minty, it still says pre order, which worries me with this figure because of it's huge release delay. If I order it, will I actually have it in December??
-
I "pre-ordered" it back when FDR was president, or when dinosaurs walked the earth. I can't remember. Problem is my CC got declined and the Comix store said "they would take care of it". So I really have no idea if I even have an outstanding order
I'm not holding my breath. Such a f-ed up release -

Yeah We're aware of the problems that RAJE toys had and all the delays, they're currently finishing the order and should be shipping to us soon (from UK) so we will definitely have them in December but we can't make any promises an US citizen will have it since the delivery times around Christmas are not secure and customs just likes holding our packages for up to 2 weeks.
No need to pay until they actually ship though, and whenever you change your mind before we shipped we'll cancel and refund you the same day, although we'll be sad :'( -
-
But you will have it in December? It won't be delayed again??
-
sooooo, do we really get a 21% discount or what? im still confused.

ya we do. You have to make an account on mintyfresh and then in the last step of checkout before you place an order, it shows the discount

He's nice. But does anyone else feel that a massive entertainment company like Disney labeling some of their products as 'designer toys' is trying to muscle in on the phenomena that by its nature has something of an outsider ethos? I mean Disney & Co. have been making toys for, well forever, yet when the art toy movement comes along they conveniently hitch a ride. Or am I just a snob!!! O_O
I do have to say I own a Cheshire Cat and I love him, but then it isn't really a Disney character though they do own the rights... -

-

Aren't the Toy Story characters designed by Pixar? Disney (Walt Disney Pictures) is the huge distributor for the films etc.
And these being made my Medicom in my opinion make them designer toys to some extent.
Peeps buying them tells them they made the right decision to "hitch a ride" ;) -
13 years ago
I agree Shellie, and I think Vinylmation are hella lame.
-
I'm shocked Mindstyle has slowed down on riding the Disney train. That was their little cash cow
-
I'm just saying Disney is very mainstream while the artists I like are the ones who made the designer toy movement what it is today like Frank Kozik, Andrew Bell, Kathie Olivas, Nathan Jurevicius. Maybe not outsider art but certainly edgy, strange and at times dark...
-
Or just plain odd sometimes lol...
-
Edgy designer toys ARE mainstream anymore. XD
-
Designer toys aren't mainstream yet. Maybe in the US it might seem like it, but in Europe they really aren't mainstream - although their popularity is growing fast.
-
seconded, to the point its impossible to even buy a blind box dunny anywhere in Sweden

I think the reason for this message board exclusivity is the fact that El Birro design/sculpt is based on a custom from Most Wanted 2 - a series curated by KR message board members

I love that Kidrobot was able to keep this figure so secretive before it's release. When was the last time that's happened?
They also did a bang up job translating Walter's custom work into a production figure. I know they've messed with the Dunny's head sculpt numerous times, but what's great about this figure are the subtle changes. The face ears might be my favorite part (as weird as that sounds).

Has been said so much before but I do wanna comment again, don't blame a company like kidrobot (or lot's of times Mintyfresh) for high shipping people blame ALL the shipping services. We are not making money on the shipping fee and I for instant actually lose money on shipping to some countries just to not lose customers !
I'm currently looking into new options for shipping myself but it's not getting cheaper, let we all just agree once and for all shipping = high and there's nothing we can do about it !
Regarding the large box, that's just retarded especcially when you limit people to buy 2....
MisterQuiche
185 83 831
yeah my complaint about shipping isn't primarily about the cost, that was my decission to accept & living in Sweden I understand shipping costs a lot, the box however was easily big enough for 10 / 12 Dunnys, I felt this was mighty wasteful on KR's part & baffled me a little

I have shipped internationally for $10 - $15 many times (small packages, less than 2 lbs). Is it more expensive to ship packages within Europe than to ship from America to Europe?
MisterQuiche
185 83 831
im not sure on real costs, but it certainly varies wildly between the differenet american stores, I have found rotofugi to be consistently the cheapest american shipping to Sweden, usually $10, however circus posterus wanted $35 i think in shipping for one mini figure last time i checked. (not giving out here, just stating my experiences)
Mintyfresh

Are the packages including insurance and tracking ? because I can also send 50% cheaper without these options. Problem is that customers really love claiming their cash back when something "hasn't arrived" and paypal will refund them without any discussion without a trackingcode.
And i talked to many party's past week for a solution to the expensive shipping all around the world, one comapny does not make difference between 1 kg or 30 kg... fact is most of these parcel serivces are focussed on large amout of packages or pallet shipping, that's what they base price off...
GrownManToys

Lots of times shipping does not have anything to do with the size of the box but more so the weight. it wouldn't have been anymore or any less for kidrobot to change the size of that box. I think shipping all depends on the country that you live in. I have gotten camera equipment from Hong Kong and China and the shipping has been free. minty I have checked other stores in your country and the shipping was nowhere as much as yours. Maybe because you provide tracking and insurance I don't know. maybe you should just let the people choose and that is their problem if they don't get it. that can be your disclaimer. I have seen many eBay auctions that give you the choice but the choice is yours .
Shankweather
432 4 822

No, that $10-$15 didn't include insurance and tracking. If you're right about that 1kg/30kg problem, that seems like a market inefficiency. Surely some company can figure out how to ship small packages cheaply.
This is why so many great toy artists are European. It's easier to make your own toys than buy other people's.
GrownManToys

I ship to Europe all the time... because my wife's family is there. shipping from their was much cheaper some years back. but now it has dramatically changed. but some of the prices people are charging for shipping is not correct either. I still send packages all the time with no tracking and no insurance. I just shipped a EL panda to JPK with no tracking. some now and it ended up getting routed through India but it still made it to England. and the time was really not that long even with the problem. I just want to be given a choice whether I want tracking and insurance and maybe I can check a box that says this is at my own risk.
Mintyfresh
353 606 632

In the starting days of Mintyfresh we did offer the customer to choose with or without insurance / tracking. We did told the people it was at own risk and off course they all agree... until they don't get the package they paid €100 for.
9 out of 10 packages arrived safely but the ones that didn't got refunded by Paypal / Creditcard agencies for not providing a trackingcode and I could not prove the person actually ever got the package.
Even though I wish I could do this and I have to trust the system / people, past has proven me that I rather ship a few packages less because the people think the price is to high then lose multiple packages and money... just not worth the risk.
@GMT , What company is shipping cheper then us ? and what amounts are we talking ?
P.S. I actually just got a call from TNT they will revise my current contract (told them specific prices from DHL, DPD, Fedex etc. ) and next week I will know more. Not going to be major changes but still !

I have to look that up again .because I just researched that the other day and I will send that to you or you can check some other eBay auctions from your country but you still remain the Highest shipping ..when it comes to toys.

Hey People, so just received the documents and this is basically what it's going to be, there will be flat rates for Europe and Rest of the world for all packages below 2000 grams (4.4 lbs.)
1 - 999 gr. = €9,95 (EU) and €17,50 (World)
1000 - 1999 gr. = €12,50 (EU) and €19,95 (World)
everything higher then this will be the "old" rate but for 90% of Mintyfresh customers these fee's will be delicious :)

you have the Artist Proof version(AP), limited to 20, Each will be numbered and signed. It will come with a hand sculpted mallet (each one made individually). Also Birro Hat comes pimped with a fancy bird feather (last minute upgrade not shown on some pictures), and the coolest thing! Birro comes with his trusty sidekick, "Monko" who has the most important job, to keep safe Birro's Beer while he kick ass. Monko is an original sculpt made specifically for the hardcore Birro fans who get this AP, resin casted, and hand painted for yours truly Chauskoskis. Will come inside a nice and hard wood box (also the original KR box.... original price was 105$
