As a toy I love the design, but it looks like it would be an extremely uncomfortable dildo.

yeah, it all depends of the size!

this guy has other toys on his webpage, one being a "blackface" beachball... seems kind of racist to me. maybe someone can educate me on what I'm missing? Or is it as xenophobic as it appears to be?

Here's a little rant on Obama beach ball – http://arrestedmotion.com/201... />
I don't get it why it's more racist than emoticons, but people are offended over very simple things these days. -

Artists love to do this; create something that on the surface is offensive and make all of us debate if it is or isn't. It's interesting that the beach ball piece itself wouldn't have ruffled a feather, but it's the name that made everyone notice.
I don't know if it's racist or not; I guess it depends on the artist's motivation. But should that be the case? Should art depend on its artist to explain it or just stand on its own? -

I know if some college student had painted a beach ball like that and called it "Obama Beach Ball" and thrown it around at a frat party, it would universally be labeled racist. But I also think the distinction that we would make between the two circumstances is justifiable.

Artists tend to create things that shock us, that awake us of our gloominess. it depends of the speech the artis gave of the piece. i think.

BTW i still wanna know the size. :p

On some site it said it is:

how is that racist? god, it's views like that that help racism breed and spread. Black dildos(or black sex toys in general) are extremely common, it was probably made simply coz it cost them basically nothing.
I mean.... you're basically saying the toy is racist coz it's black, right? Does that mean every black toy is racist simply coz there's black pigment in the vinyl? that's insane. -
10 years ago
also, if you meant the red lips... based on these toys ^^^^ it seems to be the artists 'thing'. ALso red & black go well together.... maybe artists choose to combined them.
-

Maybe... and maybe the artist made a black beach ball using the same face and called it Obama. Maybe that is more reminiscent of blackface than most people nowadays remember. Maybe societal privilege keeps people from recognizing this, and anyone who criticizes the work is called out, thereby perpetuating the silence of those who find the status quo to be chafing. Maybe.
Or maybe I need to put down the Sociology books. -

Mel the history of blackface is pretty long and well-documented. And none of it was positive. These toys are obviously referring to something that is racist; whether that necessarily makes them racist is another thing.

I can't express how much I hate this sculpt. Like I'm ready to fight Jeremi Rimel right now. But I suppose that's what he's going for.

Why don't you like it? Even if it too gross or creepy for you, can't you appreciate the insane level of detail Jerami put into it? Plus Jeremi is a really cool guy

Right! Every toy on here showcases a great amount of skill. There are thousands of sculptors and painters in the world. It's the idea that makes it a good toy. And mutilated babies is a bad idea. In my humble opinion.

Idk. I agree with melancholy. It's not mutelated it's just a zombie. I asked Jeremi about the designing of the toy and he's said he was always afraid of baby dolls when he was a kid, so he wanted to make them even scarier. I think it's cool and the show for them going on at TAG right now is amazing.

Maybe it´s because we all have different concepts of what a Zombie is, personally i prefer the Dawn of the Dead (2004) baby zombie, this baby seems a little too damaged.
-

Eh, I don't like it. It’s way too derivative for my liking. Just looks like a normal baby toy that has been sculpted over – I can only assume it was sculpted from scratch, so the proportions are great but the ‘details’ don’t impress me.

I feel like I should really like it, but I don't. Something just doesn't seem proportionally correct. Maybe ill like it in one of the guaranteed 15 colour ways ;)

Don't like it to be honest.. skull, helmet, white gloves: for the win,
but i'm just tired of all these components..
Or maybe i just don't feel this guy. -

it's the bandana/scarf that kills it's for me... bit too hipster for my taste :P Sad really, as I DO love the skull and boots.

I love Yosuke Ueno's art and this painting so after I saw the computer generated model was preparing myself to get one. But when i saw the final piece i changed my mind... it's too average. A glossy white one perhaps and i'd change my mind.
