how much is it?

$200

hmm. it is a big chunk of money, but i find it very reasonable for a self produced quality figure at this size.
it looks flawless and there is no single bubble in the clear cast, so i assume vacuum and pressure casting was used here. -
12 years ago
I guess for what you're getting the money seems about right. And i agree that clear resin looks perfect.
-
I've seen this figure at a local show. It looks absolutely incredible in person, and the artist is a super nice guy to boot. Definitely worth the price fo a large, independently-made, unique figure with clear resin and a great concept.
-
How big does it look in person, is it quite substantial?
-
Yeah, it's pretty solid. 7" is large for an independently produced toy, and this one is pretty wide as well. There are larger toys out there, but not a lot that are self-produced.
This maybe does not give a great idea of the size, but here is a cool angle https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.aka... -
11 years ago
Yeah was thinking it might look pretty wide considering it 7" high. Looks great.

Thanks for the link! I'll watch it like a hawk, hoping she will release more spunky guys. -

The Rotocasted 10K Toy Celebration!
In celebration of Rotocasted's upcoming 10,000th toy, we are having a special community giveaway.
Here's how it works:
1. Go to your toys and choose a figure you want to give away.
2. Type [10K toy] in the comments section of the toy's page. [Example: http://rotocasted.com/toy/943... />3. Then, go to the "10K Celebration" page [http://rotocasted.com/toy/10576] and post the link to your 10K-toy. This way we have all the raffle toys in one place.
4. Add the "10K Celebration" toy page to your wishlist to be eligible to be one of the winners.
5. Now, keep on adding toys to the library to make it to 10,000!
In January 2011 (when the postal service is not as busy), we will select as many winners as there are 10K-toys provided and connect both parties. A special prize will go to the person who posts the landmark toy number 10,000! Good luck!

sergey, I have an arithmetics dilemma: because this 10K Celebration entry is listed as a designer toy and therefore counts as 1 toy, I guess the real 10.000 toy in the database will be number 1001, right?
-

Out of curiosity, what is the stance on putting in customs as 10K toy donations?

I think my listing was 10,000, then dupes were found, not sure how to solve. I'm sure there are still some dupes that could be removed, making it a never ending moving target.

We will need to reach 10k again when we will move Action figures and maybe Kaiju to some other place.
-
-
What would classify it as a "designer toy"? Action figures are an easy spot but taking out kaiju? Its just Japanese for monster/strange creature.
I can understand if its a mass produced toy like http://rotocasted.com/library... but what about kaiju toys like http://rotocasted.com/toy/8015/ and http://rotocasted.com/library... />
I would consider the designer toy classification be something like this: "a designer toy is something (plush/vinyl/resin) that has been produced purely on its own form, not created for an established licensed property (movie/tvseries/comics)" but then where do most of the kubricks/bearbricks stand?
I wonder how many would be moved to another category? Then how far off it would be from the "real" 10k!
Edit: Having all the Kaiju in one place would be really neat, I just consider them still designer toys :P -
14 years ago
In regards to what number 10k is, why not make this the 10k toy when its replaced.
Special custom 10k Godot IMO, how about that Sergey? -

good idea :-)

@CoMus We've got about 150 AFs and about 200 Kaijus so far.
I was just thinking to move Kaiju somewhere else because some of sofubi collectors doesn't feel comfortable around qees and dunnies.
I'll replace this record with a special Godot. :) -

Hey, could one of the owners of this toy speak on its quality? I'm wondering why the price is rather low for this figure...

At least on the one I have the quality is really good. It is really freaking heavy too!
